Asylum seeker ‘threatened to kill Nigel Farage while travelling to the UK’
TikToker with Kalashnikov tattoo on his face held in custody after court appearance with interpreter

An asylum seeker threatened to kill Nigel Farage while travelling from Afghanistan to the UK, a court has been told.
Fayaz Khan, a 26-year-old TikToker, is said to have issued several warnings to the Reform Party leader between Oct 12 and 15 last year.
Mr Khan, also known as Mada Pasa, has been charged with threats to kill and persistently making use of a public communication network to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety.
Mr Farage, 61, said in a statement that the alleged videos “caused significant distress”, the court heard.
Wearing a prison tracksuit, Mr Khan appeared at London’s Westminster magistrates’ court on Tuesday and confirmed his name and date of birth through a Dari interpreter.
Mr Khan appeared to have tattoos across his face, including one of a Kalashnikov on his cheek. Sitting with his arms crossed, he offered no indication of a plea to the charges.
David Burns, prosecuting, said the “allegations came about while Mr Khan was travelling from Afghanistan to the UK”.
District Judge Briony Clarke remanded Mr Khan in custody ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at Southwark Crown Court next month.
