Los Blancos normally score and concede

This evening’s visitors to north London have suffered defensive problems all season. This has been in large part because of injuries – but even with more options now available to boss Carlo Ancelotti, his side are still leaking goals. 

The Champions League holders lost 2-1 at home to Valencia in La Liga on Saturday. It was the eighth consecutive game in which Los Blancos have conceded. 

Real have scored in seven of those matches, all of which featured at least three goals. With the Gunners both scoring and conceding in five of their past six outings, this trend should continue. 

Mbappe can add to tally

France superstar Kylian Mbappe has failed to score in his previous two club appearances, blanking in the loss to Valencia and in the 4-4 draw with Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey, when he came off the bench. 

That makes him a dangerous prospect for Arsenal. Even without netting in his past two games, the forward has five goals from his six most recent outings. 

In total he has found the net 33 times in 47 appearances since joining Real Madrid last summer, which makes him look overpriced to add to his haul. 

Merino regularly committing fouls

Our third recommendation is a small bet builder, which we will start by backing Real Madrid to avoid defeat in the double-chance market. Arsenal have only won four of their past 10 matches. 

To that we are adding both teams to score, which looks like something of a nap where tonight’s visitors are concerned – and has also been a reliable bet when the Gunners have been in action in recent weeks.
