Horse racing tips: Thursday April 10 – Lingfield

There are five horse racing meetings across the UK and Ireland today. The action starts at Hereford (2.00-5.23pm), with more jumps at Newton Abbott (2.10-5.05pm) and Limerick (2.17-5.45pm). 

On the Flat we have cards at Lingfield (2.27-5.53pm) and Newcastle (5.00-8.30pm).

Our nap of the day comes from the Surrey course, where Midnightattheoasis runs in the 4.45pm race, as we look for our third consecutive winner this week.

4.45, Lingfield – Class 6 Handicap (5f)

MIDNIGHTATTHEOASIS is on a hot streak that we are hoping to take advantage of this afternoon. The gelding has won all his previous four races, which have been over today’s distance. 

Phil McEntee’s five-year-old has come good this year, with promising performances at Kempton and Wolverhampton foreshadowing this purple patch. 

Rossa Ryan has been on board for those four victories, of which the previous two have come at Lingfield, and takes the reins again. Midnightattheoasis has gone up 18lb during his run of victories, but his form suggests that he will handle this rise.
